RSM 250 best skimmer to use

Hi

just in the process of setting up a RSM 250 and want to understand what is the best skimmer to use?

is it the tunze 9002 or the deltec mc500?

any help or guidance would be appreciated

deltec mc500 is the better one as long as you keep to thewater level as marked to much will overpower the pump causing itto vibrate asmy father in law has found but for the price being alot it's well worth it had ours for over 2-3 years been going 24-7 still keeps the tank clean

deltec for me too, I think the 9002 is too small for this tank, great skimmer though i ran one on my 130d.

Do you need to cut a hole in the lid to fit the 500 in?

No but I had to cut the plastic diagonal brace off square to mount the bracket on, its the partition to the left of the weir.

Am thinking about changing to the deltec 500 too. Has anyone else had to mod the tank itself to fit the skimmer in other then mattay?
