This is the refugium for my reef set-up. It has a reverse daylight period (RDP) which helps to keep the pH of the system balanced. There are large numbers of micro-crustaceans in here, which are free to reproduce with no predators to worry about - these help to feed the main tank. The Algae helps to keep phosphates down, and there are gastropods and polychaetes in here too. |
