The Display Tank and Sump need to be suspended partially off the floor. This was to take some load onto the walls, because the our raised floor joists were small, and also because the floor was not level, especially around the old fireplace. 20mm bolts are udsed for the Display Tank area (in front of the fireplace), 16mm elsewhere.
The front piece of 4x2 has been screwed and glued to another piece to straighten it out and raise them as required to allow the levelling off the wall mounts.
Next job is to mortar the frame in over the old fireplace for extra support for the bracing bar. |
