    Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has any wiring instructions for this type of control panel, or can tell me if you have experience.

I never had a thermostat wired to it (only a frost thermostat), heating control was done with radiator thermostatic valves (which never work very well and i hate).

Would like to wire an electronic thermostat to it that so i can alter the temperature to different levels throughout day and night.

    Any help and advice?

Thankyou Bob, i will inspect the back panel connections when its a little warmer. (and the wife lets me turn the heating off for a bit!!)

I assume then the live is switched via the thermostat to connection 4?

Any recommendations on a digital thermostat?

Yea if its gravity hot water pumped heating take the wire from 4, will be the pump wire, put youre live feed to the stat in four then join he switched live from the stat to the pump wire with a connector block

Excellent the wiring makes sense. Thankyou again Bob.

I think system was converted from gravity fed to fully pumped system, but that may just refer to the heating (with 3 way valve / mid position controller)

So its rebranded, i found an installation guide for an LP722 this had some wiring diagrams. Looks like my timer, but a more fancy cover.

It gives me something to compare with my wiring and confirm my installation type.

the only problem with the above is runnin wires to yur room stat point i would put a wireless stat in which will involve a small amount of wiring at the boiler and then the room stat works on radio signal i work for british gas and we install these on all new systems preety much.all the best dan

If youve got a three port valve then you will have wire in connection one which is the hot water off from the cylinder stat
    Cheers Bob
