Please accept my apologies for Steve's posts, they are not representative of all our members.

I wish you every success!

Willkommen in Ultimate Reef.

EDIT: Before you had become a sponsor, I wrote to you three times about a product. I only received one reply back. We expect good customer service from our retailers. Competitive prices alone are not good enough. You need to give your customers the assurance that there will be good after sales support.

Steve makes a very good point....... (Unless you are shipping out of this world corals to the UK, then I'll have a different opinion as that would bring something "fairly new" to the UK) but dry goods that u may appear to offer such as koralen zucht, ati etc are already available from UK shops and from what i know without a great margin so as i said i think steves point is a valid one!

Internet trade does have a damaging effect on shops no matter what shop it is!

Again everyone is going to welcome Aquapro cos everyone loves a new sponsor lol, but i think people have to put shoe on other foot and see the effect across the board

Just my opinion.... Dont bother shooting me down because of it

Thank You

There are a few UK based 'Internet Only' retailers on here and I don't see anyone objecting to them?
Lower overheads etc etc.

It appears the objection is because they are based outside the UK.

Sorry but debate aside as a sponsor you do have a professional duty to remain impartial on the open forum and not attack members or other sponsors.

Steve's objection should be levied at UR management (since they decide who can sponsor) in private rather than openly.

If members started posting in sponsor forums 'Don't buy from this company because........' the threads would be eradicated instantly.

I find this whole thread and some of the posts on it bizzare. I wonder how many retailers or sponsors on here would think twice if they had the opportunity to expand internationally. I can't imagine the reaction would be 'well life must be hard enough for them so I won't attempt to start a business there'.

I wonder how much thought is put in by the same retailers to the sources of most of their products where men die regularly catching fish for this trade in Asia for pennies, get the bends for the rest of their lives so they can earn enough to feed their families, to the clothes they wear made in sweat shops to the electronics the use made in China by people with few human rights.

To then have the audacity to suggest that Non UK traders are somehow immoral by 'stealing' their trade is just plain ridiculous.

And in the midst of this non sense, I forgot to say Henning, welcome to the forum.

Yeah get with the times, they are in the european union and pay taxes the same as us if you don't like well Steve stop sponsoring UR.

Steve if you want to complain about something complain about all the chinese junk coming in the country from ebay and chinese websites continually trying to not pay import duty so it makes buying the stuff appealing and robs all of us of the tax that is due.

Also Steve there is nothing stopping you selling stuff to Germany or sponsoring a site in Germany.

Your post reads clearly your issue is with the fact they are not UK based. In this day and age international business is the norm.

It's ironic most of your stock comes from non-UK companies! So are you now only going to stock UK manufactured/grown stock?

By the way I was actually in their shop the Thursday as I do business in Bielefeld nearby and they are very nice people, best of luck to them!
Well said, I think any sponsor should have the upmost respect for fellow sponsors or at least keep their comments to there self. I don't think anybody at the moment is swimming head above water and are managing to stay afloat but this comment is tasteless and no way a good way to welcome anybody in any way!.

Anyway good luck to you pal, I will have a butchers now at your page and all the best onbthe forum!.

Thank you for the welcome!
I have to admit that not all of our colleagues at aquaPro2000 are that fluent in English. We had some problems with that and I hope that this channel directly to me will help to improve that. If you write to me I should be able to answer questions in 2-3 days normally.
