What brand of salt?

So i've just finished my tub of D&D salt and didn't know whether to switch brands or stay with the same one. I do have a bit of cyno at the mo and with the D&D cyno debate going on this has made me question if i stay true or change even though my corals seem happy with the mix.

I know salt is a hot topic at the mo and there's been various polls done before but they've always left out some of the brands available so id like to get an up to date poll. The result will be my influence!

Good timing the other polls were getting old After trying d&d i'm back to reef crystals, mainly because i like the way it mixes better (it mixes quick and clean, whereas with d&d the mixing water stays cloudy for ages).

Chopping and changing can potentially cause issues. So perhaps the poll should be: Do I want issues, yes, no, maybe?!

.. these salt threads are getting boring now

Not really chopping and changing considering that i was using TM pro reef for about 18months before D&D came out and have been using D&D since............And why should there be any issues so long as you introduce your new salt to your current water in small steps, building up? With my system being only 200ltrs its quite easy to do a 5/10 ltr changes here and there whilst the tank gets used to the new salt.

my bucket is running out aswell and will be sticking with d&d. tanks been set up 6 months now and have never had any algea problem including diatoms or cyano.

I leave my salt mixing for about 12 hours (i know its recommended to leave for 24 hours) and waters clear.

its amazing how the most slated salt still sits at the top because of name /brand purchasing

I chose 2 D+D and KZ. I've used both and have been happy with both. Changed from KZ to D+D because there was a special offer, no other reason.

Maybe its because its good salt and only a tiny percentage that have had problems blame the salt and kick up the fuss? I mean, over 50% of votes use it so there must be some reason why eh? I guess it also comes down to availability, better distribution perhaps or should i say bad distribution by other brands leaves no other choice unless you want to order online...... I know i can only get reef crystals, and D&D from my LFS......wonder how availability would affect this poll? Maybe i should have also given a 'Would you choose a different brand if available from your LFS' option!
