Be interesting to know too. i shop mainly in my local one in hove, they staff aint really all that and the prices can be high, but they seem to sell the best variety of marines and some more interesting things. its called paraquatics. there is 3 others in hove and brighton (ones a maindenhead) but wouldnt personally recommend them.

another +1 for world of Fishes, very good. Paraquatics in Portland Road Hove are my local lfs, and I always get on very well there - I know they have a reputation for being a bit cramped but they are just (as of today) expanding into the shop next door, loads more room! I imagine should be complete in the next 3 weeks or so. Also they got new stock in today some nice fishies....

Ok, ive been going to most around the Brighton area since keeping marines 25 years ago.

World of fish. Probably the best for fish, dry goods, parking and pretty good for corals too.

Paraquatics. Went there a few weeks ago, gone downhill big time imho. All the fish had fins ripped and looked emaciated. not much in the way of corals. parking not good,

Maidenhead, Hickstead. Not bad, good stock and started to import so prices have dropped a lot (flame angel was 92, now 60) Lots of dry goods, water gardening stuff and parking too.

Maidenhead, Brighton racecourse. Only been opened a year. Fish are typical TMC fish but are damn expensive. some nice corals especially lps lots of dry goods and parking too.

Fish tank, rock street, Brighton. Little back street shop that's been going for 30 years. tanks all run on UG filters but fish are looked after and all from TMC. You get a lot of the same from here but you can occasionally pick up the odd gem. Parking meters in force

Tranquillity, woodingdean, Brighton. Lots of dry goods, a few corals, some nice fish...can blow hot and cold this one. Parking can be bad.

Dicker aquatics, Lower dicker nr Hailsham. Avoid.

Fishy business, Hove. Never been there as never been able to park.

Fishy business Hailsham, small section of marines. not worth the journey for imho.

So there's a few.

Just to add to jevs post

Aquamania,Eastbourne.
Not worth the visit as all corals and fish are really poorly looked after.

Eastbourne Aquarium,Avoid.

Academy Aquatics,Hastings, was disgusted last time I was there but have heard it is slowly on the up (how true is another matter)
