Quick review on brightwells microbacter 7

I found an old bottle of this on my shelf and decided to use it up, its basically a bottle of bacteria that reduces the nutrients. I wasnt expecting much but wanted to get clear the shelf so decided to use it, ive been using in for about a month now and I have to say im really impressed, ive noticed the following

Water goes crystal clear, like using carbon
Hair algae goes white - dies back
Sand a bit whiter
Glass needs less cleaning, use to clean every other day and now once every 4 days or so

I stopped using it for about a week and my tank definately got dirtier, I dose a capfull a night in my 300l system, overall I definately recomend it, its basically like zeo but much more gentle.

Also just to confirm I dont dose any carbon source with it, purely the bacteria

I've used this stuff to seed both of my tanks, I've never used it by its self though. I've still got a load left over so I might start putting some in.

It would be very interesting to read a before and after report

I dont think its works overnight but try dosing a little bit everyday and judge in about 10-14 days

I used it weekly on my last setup, I'm now using it daily before switching to the maintenance dose on my new ACS nano. My water is gin clear

Same here, used it for over a year and it certainly clears everything up, dosed once a week

Just an update

I ordered a 2nd bottle and to be honest It doesnt seem to be doing what the first one did, I think I may have a dud one.

the brightwell aquatics range looks good,ive been using the zooplankto and phyto with good results and am thinking of starting bacter and reef biofuel(alternative to vodka)
