Def looking forward to this one! Be a lot better than the Betta IMO - should allow a bit more flexibility anyway!

Shallow tanks are the way to go for me! My planned build will be very similar in scale to yours, just a little smaller overall.

At least you have the rest of the equipment already so when the tank arrives it shouldn't take too long to set up...

Minimum of three weeks, but can be up to six weeks. Paul will deliver and set it up for me. You can pay me a visit after its set up and tell me how good it is.

Thanks Al. I may just have to buy another return pump. My existing return pump will turn over the entire volume about 5 times an hour, which may not be sufficient. I normally target about 6 times per hour turnover rate. I will simply wait and see. The more pressing issue for me is the lighting.

Thanks Fbarty. It is very thoughtful of you. I am really touched by your offer .

My short term plan is to continue to use my MH kit in conjunction with andy v's TMC led strips until I recuperate financially. I will then invest on a new lighting system.

I am seriously considering an ATI Powermodule. I will also look into led lighting. I am going to Fit Filtration next Friday again to give Paul my sump plans. While I am there I am going to take PAR measurements of Kessil 150 units (10000K and 15000K). I quite like these lights. I am going to assess their suitability for the needs of my corals and clams.

Sorry to hear what happened to your previous tank.

Great choice for the new one and I hope it goes well. My Fit tank is now in its 4th year, and just to add I have been very pleased with my ATI Powermodule also.
