Talking Will Missy spit or swallow & swim ? RR 94 L

For those who do not wish to wait: FTS 25-10-12

Ok here is the story of how I got to the above shot
Apart from owning the statutory goldfish as a child I didn't really think much of fish .....
I met my other half and somehow I got talked into having a pond as long as I had nothing to do with it here is what we started with ( excuse my little boy on his first day )

ok so now we have a pond we better get some fish inside I saw an amzing little azoo so I put a few guppies in then I had to get another one as I had fry !! From then I was hooked baby fish are so cute and watching them grow just made me so

so now it time to get back in the garden again and is that another pond I spy ??

Inside things are also getting bigger .....

and bigger...

and bigger ...

Right about this time I start getting broody , here comes Suki - my great dane
Suki at 4 weeks old :

( Suki today 7 months old)

I ought to add that I also have a cat and a rotastak hamster cage that is about 4ft X 6ft with a hamster in it of course lol

Now as much as I want a bigger tank my living room is only so big and I don't want any of my pets stuck under the stairs or in a cupboard I start wondering what I can do ....

Well if I can't go bigger can I go more interesting ?? Hence here I am ...
I buy a 2nd hand River reef ...

a week later I add 10 KG of live rock

my water is roughly ok at 0 am 0 nitrite 10 nitrate

but 3 weeks into cycling oh no I spy an aip !

so I take the chance to relandscape ...

I know there is alot of talk about the back of these tanks atm I have a boyu skimmer (not yet setup) in chamber 1 , chamber 2 I have sponge (am looking into chaeto) chamber 3 balls , charcoal and wool & chamber 4 heater

After speaking to a guy called Andy at my local (ish) FS he suggested taking the balls out to lower the nitrate which I have done so I will see if it works , I'm after some electric blue hermits and he wont have any in until Friday so hopefully I'll be getting CUC in then. My actual LFS (who is also a sponser is undergoing a refit )

That is the story so far..............

for anyone interested I will be updating this , if no-one is at least I'll have an online record

MORE PICS ON PAGE 5 - 7 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 13 - 14 - 15 - 16 - 18 - 19 - 20 - 21 & 22 !!
