Emperor Angel

Emperor Angels, are they really as bad as people make out when it comes to eating your tank empty of corals.
My tank may aswell be a FOWLR at the moment as I only have a few leathers etc so if the rumours are true its now time to decide if I go down the angel route or nice coral route.

Any got experience of this fish ?

Thanks

I think they are okay with most softies and SPSs but will deffo munch on LPSs.

Some have had success in reef tanks.....but it's only a matter of time before they get a taste for some prized LPS coral!

I've recently bought a baby Emperor as I've decided to go for nicer fish rather than nicer corals.....looking to build a nice softie tank with nice fish.

I had one with sorties lps and sps .The only thing he liked was acans which was obviously an expensive meal but apart from that it left every thing else alone In truth I think it was more luck than judgement as they are prone to munching on pretty much anything but its down to the individual fish you may be lucky I would defo try another.
