ecotech radions? how many for 5 ft?

as the tittle states.lol

how many would be required for a 5ftx2ft x shallow

or what would other options be?

ive been told 2 on a 3 ft so id imagine 3 on a 5ft......expensive i know !!

one is okay for 2' x 2', so in theory you need 2.5 of them.
So depending what you are keeping in the tank, and where they are you would be okay with 2, but somewhere there will be areas of low light (either ends of tank or in middle, or a bit in middle and ends depending on where you hang them). So long as these areas only contain corals that are happy a low levels of light the would be okay.

I have 2 on my 4ft and would say you could do a bit of a bigger gap and use 2 on a 5ft and see how it goes.
Could always add a 3rd down the road!

oooouch, always go ai sol's but tbh, the colours a radion can punhc out is the thing that does it for me, and been able to moonligh with them.... thats a tenner of the price straight away can save myself that from not buying a cheapo strip on ebay hahahah

currently have 8x54w t5 setup waiting for my new tank, but im finking led's now tbh :/

I contacted Ecotech themselves about my pending 5 footer and they said as sthorn has... good for 24" square each, so thats 2.5, round it up to 3.

Im going for 3 personally but you could try and get away with 2, suppose it depends on what you intend to keep aswell.
